I'm cool with being messy outside. Dirt, sand, water, sticks, cobwebs are all par for the course at any playground. But inside... inside I like things to be neat and tidy. It's getting tough these days as Finn's favorite thing to do is to dump out buckets of toys. More photos after the jump...That being said, sometimes you just have to push the crazy down and let it go. Yesterday was a rainy, nasty mess. And Finn didn't want to sleep at all, so I was in dire need of some afternoon entertainment for him and a mental recharge for me.
We decided to paint. I hate getting started and dread the mess, but I always love it when we do. This time was no exception. Also, it makes a super cute photo op.
Finn got a little concerned when the paint started drying on his hands. I think he only tasted it once, though I'm not sure it kept it all out of his eyes.
And for a daddy-fun double whammy, we cleaned up with a mid-day bubble bath. Someone was pretty irritated when I pulled him from the cold tub water.
